MASSAGE THERAPY & REIKI
Gwen Guarini, Licensed Massage Therapist and Reiki Practitioner is providing 30 minute massages or Reiki treatments.  Come experience the healing benefits of massage or Reiki.    Every other Monday.  Sign up required.  Sessions at 1:00pm, 1:45pm, 2:30pm, 3:15pm.  Cost $25. REGISTER

CHAIR YOGA
Yoga is a lifestyle approach that concentrates on a person’s body, mind, and spirit to enhance personal growth, physical health, and spiritual connectedness. Led by instructor Bonnie Furlong, Chair Yoga is tailored for participants with cardiac or other chronic medical conditions or those who would like a gentle exercise program. Mondays,10-11a.m. $29 per 4 week session. REGISTER

EXERCISE TO TAPES
A call to all early birds: exercise is a great way to start the morning! Join us and warm up with health and fitness gurus. Its fun, invigorating, and bound to jump start your day. Chairs are available if you need a little extra support. Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, 8:45-9:45 a.m. No Fee.

MVP GOLD DANCE MOVES
MVP Gold instructor Vicky Bueno will have your feet tapping and your heart pumping in this dance class to promote the health of older adults with a variety of dance styles including: Latin, swing, and jazz with a focus on stretching, balance, and coordination.  3/9/2010 - 5/25/2010. REGISTER

MVP GOLD MOVES
Stay mobile and strong! Led by Christine Lindahl, this is FREE low-impact aerobic workout that incorporates varied step sequences and upper body movements that challenge and improve your coordination, balance, and memory.  We will use free weights and rubber tubing for upper body strengthening.  We will end with stretches and breathing exercises. RETIRED SENIOR VOLUNTEER PROGRAM (RSVP) OSTEO-EXERCISE
Osteoporosis is a skeletal disease which can cause bones to splinter and fracture. It’s a silent disease that can remain undetected until bone breakage occurs. The Osteo group uses specially designed exercise routines with light weights to strengthen muscles and bones to combat the degenerative effects of Osteoporosis. Mondays, 1-2:30p.m.; Wednesdays, 2:30-4p.m; Fridays, 2:45-4:15p.m. No Fee.

SETON HEALTH PHYSICAL REHABILITATION EXERCISE SCREENING & CLASSES
Seton Health Physical Rehabilitation offers a FREE “senior screening” to determine which exercises will help you return to doing what you like to do.  After your “senior screening” Seton Health PT’s, Beth Sanger & Liz Stack, will lead a group exercise program to fit your individualized needs. Physician permission required for class. No Fee. “Senior screening” required unless you’ve had no major health changes since your last screening. DATES TO BE ANNOUNCED. REGISTER.

TAI CHI
This ancient form of exercise is a relaxing and energizing way to look and feel great, improve your balance, enhance your sleep quality, and lower your BP. We support the lungs with gentle Chi Kung exercises (combining deep breathing and subtle movement). We practice Yang style Tai Chi –a simple, gentle, and beautiful dance-like movement series which increases balance and strength. Enjoy a peaceful hour and a “good stretch” in a fun, supportive, non-stressful environment with instructor, Bonnie Furlong. DATES TO BE ANNOUNCED. REGISTER.

TRIM & TONE

Instructor Denise Paska offers this low impact aerobic class complete with a great cardio warm-up, series of step patterns, body resistance training, lunging but no leaping, and stretching at the end.

ZUMBA GOLD
Zumba Gold is a class designed to take the exciting Latin and International dance rhythms from the original Zumba and bring them to the senior and beginner populations.  This class will emphasize the basics.  It is easy to follow, so any age and any fitness level can do it!  This fun Latin dance program includes Merengue, Salsa, Cha Cha, Cumbia, Calypso, and Rock and Roll.  This program is guaranteed to provide the participant with a safe and effective total body workout.  Zumba Gold creates a party like atmosphere.  It is fun, different, easy and effective.  It’s great for the mind, body, and soul!

GENTLE PILATES STRETCH
Gentle Pilates Stretch is a unique system of stretching and strengthening exercises done on an exercise mat.  It is especially designed for seniors and the beginner population.  We will use chairs to help assist the participant in getting up and down to the mat.  This gentle Pilates Stretch class will improve your flexibility and balance, strengthen your core muscles, improve your posture, and unite your body and mind.
